Year Five Classroom Information

Homework & Spellings

Homework booklets are handed out at the beginning of every term. These are taken home on a Tuesday for return the following Monday.

Spelling Booklets contain all the spelling your child will be covering that half term and they also include the list of Year 5-6 key spellings.

P.E.

Physical Education takes place on Thursday mornings.

Autumn Term - Spring One -Swimming at Oldham Leisure Centre

Please Note, The Swimming Baths have strict disciplines with regards to what is allowed at the pool. Please make sure your child brings appropriate swim wear and a towel.The baths have requested that long hair be tied up and covered by a Swimming Cap.Swimming trunks must not be longer then the middle of the upper thigh.

Spring Two  - PE in school

A kit consisting of Shorts, pumps and PE T-Shirt is required. Kits can be left for PE in school.

Lunch

 Lunch is from 12.15 - 1.15

Additional Class Information

Year Five also run a Homework Club. This will be for children who wish to complete homework in school due to time restrictions at home. Homework club will run on Friday Lunchtimes for 30 minutes.

Individual children are rewarded in Year Five with raffle tickets. These are collected by the children per half term and the prize draw carried out out on the last day of the half term.

Table points for groups of children are also awarded daily and the total added up each Friday. Winning tables display our Class Trophy.
