Year Two Classroom Information

Homework & Spellings

Homework and  Reading books are taken home each Friday and are to be returned to school the following Monday.  I would ask all parents to ensure that they listen to their child and record it in their reading records.

The spellings for your child are sent home each Friday. Spelling sheets should be kept at home so the children can keep practicing. They will be tested on the spellings on the following Friday. They also include the Year 2 Common Exception Words.

Physical Education takes place on Thursday afternoons. Please ensure that your child has a white polo shirt or t-shirt, green shorts and black pumps. It would greatly help the staff, if your child's PE kits are labelled with their names on.

The Daily Mile

Each day, we do the Daily Mile. We are working very hard to stay fit and to become fitter. We love the Daily Mile in Year 2.

 Lunch is from 12.00- 1.15

Additional Class Information

Year Two take part in Dance sessions on Friday lunch times . Please ensure your child has their PE kits in school.

Star of the Day

We have a daily Star of the Day for children who demonstrate good work or super behaviour. The children receive a Star of the Week note and receive a Superhero status on our behaviour chart.

House Points

Children are split into four houses. They receive house points for good behaviour and work. At the end of the week the house points are added up and the house with the most points receive the trophy during our celebration assembly on Monday afternoons.
