Year Two Classroom Information

School start and finish Times

The doors open at school at 8.40am and lessons begin at 8.45am.

School finishes at 3:15pm.

Breakfast club is available every day from 8am for £1.50 per day.

Homework & Spellings

Homework is sent home on a Friday and is due back in on Monday.

The spellings for your child are sent home each Friday. Spelling sheets should be kept at home so the children can keep practising. They will be tested on the spellings on the following Friday. We will practise these spellings in class as well. The spellings also include the Year 2 Common Exception Words.

Reading Books
Reading books are sent home daily and are expected to be returned back to school each morning. Please ensure your child reads to you each night and sign the reading record before returning the book to school.

P.E.

Physical Education takes place on Tuesday and Thursday.

Please ensure your child has their full PE kit on when they come into school.

Children will come to school in their school shoes and change into pumps for PE.

Please ensure that your child has a white polo shirt or t-shirt, green shorts and black pumps.

Lunch is from 12.00- 1.15.

Additional Class Information - Class Dojo

We use a communication tool with parents called Class Dojo. It is an app that you can download and keep up to date with school news and your child's learning. We post pictures often of what has been happening in class. We will also post homework on here and ideas about how to support your child's learning at home. This programme also allows your child to earn dojo points by demonstrating positive behaviour in school.
